On 12/26/2012, in News, Videos, by Jason McC

Recently super producer SupaHot Beats (AKA: WillPower) had a session with Trinidad Jame$. With SupaHot Beats creative and southern style mixed with Trinidad Jame$‘ eclectic style this is guaranteed to be a hit. This is actually a good look for both. With Trinidad Jame$‘ recent buzz, and WillPowers production credits on records like Trunk Muzik with YelaWolf, Nikkiya, Rittz, and the whole Slumerican Crew this is def a good move for NewAtlanta

I promise you Nikkiya will be a household name within a couple years. Reason one, her talent is undeniable. Reason two, WillPower is too on top of his game to fail. Here is the remix to one of her stand out songs, When I Was High, off her LP SpeakHer. The song features Slumerican’s Rittz and the most successful independent rapper in the game today, Tech N9ne. WillPower on the beat of course. This shit cray!

Album: Nikkiya – SpeakHer

I’m still amazed when I hear the voice come over the speakers. It sounds so soft and suttle at times but is capable of hitting a range not out of key, but just amazingly different than any other. Who is this I am speaking of? Nikkya of course. The South Carolina native and Atlanta transplant, who garnered a buzz off her appearance on Yelawolf’s Trunk Muzik mixtape, is finally breaking free on her own. With the help and guidance from long time friend and producer Will Power, and Yela continuing to represent and co-sign her, she can’t lose.

I saw how much it meant to the whole Slumerican family to see Nikkiya perform her first live show earlier this year. You could feel something in the air, like something special was about to go down, and it did. That night I was introduced to Nikkiya, and tonight I am going to introduce you too, by giving you her debut mixtape SpeakHer. The project is light on features, but heavy on the names in MC Lyte and Yelawolf with Will handling all the production.

I thought my personal favorite track off the tape was When I Was High, but then I heard Titanic. Also of course there is the SpeakHer Sex (Remix) and then you have Cheater, which you can find a video for after the jump along with the tracklist & download link. As you can see, there isn’t one stand out track. The great thing about SpeakHer is you never have to skip a song. You wouldn’t want to anyway, you just might miss a good part of this amazing story. Enjoy.

Yelawolf represents his home and himself with his new shin tattoos. The one on the left is a racoon with the words “White Trash” written underneath and the other is the University of Alabama Elephant mascot aka Big Al. Amazing ink work. Radioactive everywhere September 27th.
