Johnny G’s second choice for favorite albums of 2012 is Phresh James Universal Lve Period. This album was released in early June and this guy is dope. He’s got a smooth flow and the overall album has a good feeling to it. Personally I really don’t like where Hip-Hop is headed with all this Trill Wave/Ignorant bs, and Phresh James give us some fresh air with this album. The album is based around the “Love” theme and is very consistent throughout the album which I can appreciate. This 305 native will be making big noise if he keeps on his path of success. Download this, roll something up (maybe 2) and enjoy…

All Phresh, All the time. Phresh James is one of Southern Florida’s hottest rappers and unlike other’s, Phresh handles the rap game how he want’s to, not letting the game mold him. Here we have his new track Chasing Karats. Like what you’re hearing? You’ll be able to find this record, along with the previously-featured ThinkingHat and much more on TheGreaterGoodEP, scheduled for digital release soon. In the meantime, you can still cop James’ last project, Universal Lve Period.
South Florida’s own Phresh James releases this snippet of his new single Lolet. Produced by Mr. Manuvers and directed by Marc_mywords. Hit the link to learn more about Phresh James. Hit him up on twitter @phreshjames. Stay tuned for more projects from this guy, moves are being made!
Buzz artist and Carol City’s own Phresh James makes his BombOnEm debut with his Mr. Manuvers directed video for his song ThinkingHat. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover on this one, as the Miami native isn’t your typical southern rapper. His new EP TheGreaterGood is coming sooner than later.
Miami’s own J NICS brings you part two of his Southern Niggas Ain’t Slow series, and the follow up to The Tribute tape, The Product. The Polar Bear Mack has been making a lot of noise since the first release, which saw him rhyming over some of the industries hottest beats. This go around we get 100% original material produced by the likes of DJ Sharpsound, ICE, The Lottery, Plex Luthor, SMKA, Taavi Haapala, Ace 2euce, Bodega Creative and Seventy Two. The tape isn’t shy on features either as Aleon Craft, ¡MAYDAY!, QuESt and Phresh James all make appearances. Hit the jump for tracklist. Enjoy.
