S/O to Out Da Box TV
Montreality ran into Daddy Fat Sax while he was across the border. They discussed what type of student he was in school, job’s he had growing up, the keys to his success, literature, his upcoming album Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors, Andre 3000, movies, his legacy and a lot more. Can’t wait for that album!
Every year on this day we give the world a contact high. Most of the people celebrating the 41 year old “unofficial” holiday of 4/20 enjoy their cannibus year ’round. Hell, some of you even get do it legally. There is just something special about this day that has everyone coming together to recognize their favorite mood elevator and inhale/ingest as much of it, in the craziest ways, as possible. Now were not reinventing the wheel here by dropping a tape of random weed songs you already have. We just figured we’d let you know we are celebrating with you too, and we wanted you to have a soundtrack for your day, which we cleverly call, Hits From The Bomb. Thank us after you sober up. Remember, we can’t please everybody, but these are some of our favorites! Continue reading for the tracklist. Then put it in your pipe (iPod) and smoke it (press play).
If your familar with our site, by now it’s no secret I love the integration of Dubstep into Hip-Hop. You also know I now reside in Atlanta too. With that said, I just came across something my homies SMKA & The Notes Music Group put out today that is absolutley ridiculous. The Dub Below combines some of Outkast’s most popular songs with some of today’s biggest Dubstep cuts. I know a lot of you aren’t big fans of the genre…yet, but keep in mind you wouldn’t even have songs like CyHi’s Bulletproof without the movement. Wow, this one is staying on repeat all night. Tracklist and download after the jump. Enjoy.
Outkast’s Big Boi talks to VladTv about being signed to two labels, which as he says, “just means two more checks.” He then goes on to talk about being different on each record and his label Purple Ribbon featuring our family Kyle Lucas and Vonnegutt. Bare in mind he said he’s looking for new talent people. Don’t ever be afraid to talk to your favorite rapper when you meet him. It could be your only shot.
It’s The Real Back! This time around Eric and Jeff talk to Big Boi at Govenors Island, NY where they spoke on females in the Summer time that need to get that Brazilian wax together, Pitbull’s, Dungeon Family life, and Outkast being back together with L.A. Reid. By the way, Sir Lucious Left Foot gives the best introductions in every interview. Fact, not fiction.
Sir Lucious Left Foot brought The A to The U.K., Shutterbug style.
Here is the video from our visit, that we provided photos for earlier, to Door44 in Atlanta last night where Big Boi held a Crown Royal Black party. The Atlanta native brought out his people Killer Mike and Pill, and the event was hosted and held down on the 1”s and 2′s by DJ Green Lantern. Hit the jump for additional footage provided by my family 3 Little Digs. Go get a cup a fill it up!
