Ok, so here’s the deal. There was a lot of Indie music that was released this year and you probably missed the majority of it. So for your benefit, I’m going to re-release some of my favorite albums of the past year so you can appreciate them. I will release 1 album a day until I covered all the albums I liked this year.
Now I’m not gonna blame you for slacking or not knowing the good music from the bad, but here’s something you prolly missed. Chris Buck Ok, Cool album came out earlier this year and this guy is a monster. Working out of the famous Homebass Studios in NJ, Chris goes from a little singing to crazy one liners. I was blessed to be apart of Mr. Buck’s creative process but lets be real….This guy is a one man show.
Chris Buck’s new album Eat$hit is slated for 2.14.13 for all you lovers.
Some of my Favorites are: (Though its worth the full listen)
Life is A drug
Can’t Bother Me
I Need a Break (Produced by Your Boy)
Oh, CHRIS BUCK has a new mixtape out? Ok, cool. Oh word, he wants me to release it exclusively? Ok, cool. It has 19 new tracks that are guaranteed to keep a party moving for the duration and the car ride home? Ok, cool. It even has laid back tracks? Ok, cool. @Rollin_Mills, @OnlyJohnnyG, @MixedByJairo and Coolights all have beats on the tape? Ok, cool. If everyone continue’s reading they can get the full tracklist? Ok, cool. Were supposed to enjoy this? Ok, cool.
CHRIS BUCK keeps his high pace of energy on the tracks and releases as he hits us with another Rollin Mills anthem called Wake Up. The track follows the rise and fall of a man who starts out as someone who’s had enough of society and it’s ways, taking the world into his own hands while pushing the rules into his rear view. Not always a wise choice! Look for this on the OK, Cool album which is finally coming your way Memorial Day. Nobody said it would be easy.
You were supposed to recieve this one yesterday, but you have to excuse CHRIS BUCK, he’s got a busy summer ahead of him. Can’t Forget is produced by Coolights, who are another name to remember, and comes off of his upcoming tape OK, Cool on May 30th. The only thing you need to know about this track before pressing play is BUCK comes out swingin’ for the fences and never lets up. All roads lead to his album Eat $#!+ in July, with Dolla Dolla Bill Y’all coming somewhere in between. Like I said, busy summer!
After he hi-jacked my computer yesterday to drop a loosie, I should be charging CHRIS BUCK for this post, but this is kinda dope. Reminds me of a Sublime song, just more modern. This track definitely shows off his versatility. OK, Cool is due out on our one year anniversary, May 30th.
Obese went ahead and stepped out which gave me the perfect opportunity to hi-jack his computer and drop a new track. I don’t know if I should be doing this, but who really gives a fuck. I’m tired of only being pushed on Wednesdays! Ha! Here’s my take on Cam’ron’s classic I like to call Put My World On Hold. See you tomorrow with my next single The Destroyer. Peace out BombOnEm. – CHRIS BUCK
It’s another Wednesday and since OK, Cool hasn’t dropped yet, CHRIS BUCK is going to continue to hit you over the head. This week we get a posse cut featuring Queens Mike Millz and Jersey’s own Haze and Jefe. Rollin Mills continues his pace of bangin’ ass beats on No Miss with no signs of stopping. Look for OK, Cool exclusively here on BombOnEm May 30th. just in case you were asleep for BUCK’s last project Beers For A Hustler, grab that while I have your attention.
Stop now? Why, CHRIS BUCK is just getting started! With the hangover from Beers For A Hustler just now going away, the young party starter presents the first single off his upcoming album, OK Cool. Don’t Bother Me is produced by Rollin Mills of course, and is definitely on some braggadocious shit, but at the same time he’s letting these bitches know where they stand. What else did you expect? Look for a release every week until May 30 when OK Cool releases right here on BombOnEm.
