I feel like I’m hearing part of the future whenever I push play on a King Mez song for the first time. Each release off his upcoming album My Everlasting Zeal get’s better. Monte Carlo is the latest effort off the project, produced by Commissioner Gordon with mean cuts by DJ Flash. This shit is so Hip-Hop! My Everlasting Zeal is set for release on May 30th. Looking forward to it!
I’ve been looking forward to this. King Mez is a name you’re gonna want to remember, and I’ve been trying to tell people this since I had to opportunity to meet the North Carolina emcee last year. Reign is the second single, but first video off his highly anticipated album My Everlasting Zeal, dropping at the end of the month. He handles his own production on this one, with fisdj on the visuals.
King Mez isn’t the type of artist who drops verses over other artists instrumentals. He even says so himself on the intro to the track. When he does decide to let bars go though he makes sure it’s worth it. Trust me when I tell you he bodied this Drake Lord Knows beat. My Everlasting Zeal drops at the top of 2012. Check out his latest feature on XXL’s The Break.
King Mez is one of the artists I told you earlier in the year to keep you eye on. The North Carolina emcee is making me look really good right now too. As he prepares the release of his debut album My Everlasting Zeal, Mezatron gives us a preview of whats to come with the new self produced track, Reign.
North Carolina emcees Mezatron & Tom Hardy speak on how they met through the incredibly talented Commissioner Gordon. When I tell you Com Gordon has flow, word is bond. These two are a big part of the youth movement though. Real talent on both sides. Shoutout to Myspace!
Shouts: 3 Little Digs
One of my favorite new emcees King Mez, hit Baltimore and spoke to the good folks at ZTV about his growing success, teaching at Morgan State University, teaming up with Stussy, his video playing in Footlocker, the upcoming album My Everlasting Zeal and more. He also gives us a roof top flow at the end of the view. I love his humbleness. I can vouch for the fact that this is how he really is in person to. Salute homie.
