You see it all above. Every year Rock The Bells gets bigger and better and 2012 is no exception. There really isn’t much to say because chances are, your not paying attention to this text at all and are trying to figure out how the hell to get to one of these shows. Us east coaster’s are gonna have to make a choice between Hov & Budweiser’s Made In America Festival and this. Labor Day weekend just got crazy!

YMCMB’s Drake just kicked off his Club Paradise tour in California the other day where MTV caught up him to discuss the tour, which Drizzy says he put together for “artists on top of their game.” I can’t really argue with it when you see the lineup. Catch him in a city near you.
I feel like this song right here is responsible for a lot of those record breaking download numbers on Datpiff (fabricated or not). TDE lets go footage of basically an in studio performance of Meek & Kendrick’s track A1 Everything off that new Dreamchasers 2 tape from the night it was recorded. Don’t expect it to go away anytime soon. Hit the jump for some more footage of Meek’s birthday celebration.
With each release off Control System that comes down the pipeline, and I’m assuming this is the last considering the album drops in a few days, the more I look forward to hearing the debut album from TDE emcee Ab-Soul. Check out this new one ILLuminate featuring his Black Hippy partner in rhyme Kendrick Lamar. Skhye Hutch on production, mixed by Ali of course. Crazy album cover too.
One of the most anticipated mixtapes of the year has finally arrived. After building his buzz to an all time high last year, the MMG young gunner Meek Mill follow’s up his critically acclaimed Dreamchasers mixtape with the second edition in the series. This go around we see features from the likes of Drake, Jeremih, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Mac Miller, Fabolous, 2 Chainz and more. It’s gonna be a huge summer for the Philly emcee as MMG’s Self Made Vol. 2 comes out June 26th followed up by his debut album Dreams & Nightmares on August 28th. Hit the jump for tracklist & stream. As always, enjoy.
Ab-Soul delivers a short teaser from his upcoming viral for the remix to Black Lip Bastard, featuring the whole Black Hippy team. Control System dropping May 11th, don’t forget.
This collab is still so odd to me. On one side you have the flamboyant, bragadoucious, feelin’ myself raps of Birdman, Mack Maine and even Ace Hood, and then there’s Kendrick. I’m not mad at it at all, I’m just saying you have to agree it’s different. *ShrugLife* Derick G takes us to Compton and Miami in the video to B Boyz, off that Billionaire Minds mixtape.
On the fourth installment of MTV’s new late night Hip-Hop series Sowmya Krishnamurthy links up with Meek Mill in the studio, Amanda Seales talks to A$AP Rocky, Swizz Beatz sits down with the panel and Kendrick Lamar take to the stage to perform his current single The Recipe, sans Dr. Dre.
