Breezy gets his rap on over two of Yeezy’s latest releases, Theraflu Way Too Cold and Mercy. He’s always releasing these freestyle cuts at random. I guess when your rich and famous you can do whatever you want though, to a point. Hit the jump for both tracks. Fortune drops July 3rd. Do I hear shots at RiRi?
Remember when Kanye used to make normal, cliche Hip-Hop videos? Yea, me neither…
Filmmaker Ruth Hogben collaborates with award-winning musician Kanye West to create a film for his single Lost in the World. The song, which features Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, is taken from West’s fifth album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Hogben’s piece breaks the mould of popular rap aesthetics while still celebrating the extraordinary talent that has made West a modern icon.

I was contacted by Good Music to record the verse and hook for Kanye’s remix of Chief Keef’s I Don’t Like. I said “Cool! have him come by my studio, and I’ll get this done for you.” Anthony replied “The kid is on house arrest. You gotta record him at his house.” I was like no problem, so I called my videographer and bodyguard, and we went to Chief Keef’s grandmas house where he is staying while under house arrest.
I get to the house and set up my equipment. I have everything all set to go ready to record, and Chief Keef didn’t have his verse written yet. Kanye wanted a new verse for the remix. I thought to myself “Oh man! We’re going to be here for a while.” Just as I sit down and get comfortable, he’s already done writing his verse. IT TOOK HIM LITERALLY 3 MINUTES.
This kids got some serious talent. It was a interesting experience bringing a studio to a house, but everything worked out well, and this remix is dope.
Hip-Hop at it’s finest.
I had a convo last week with some of my fellow bloggers at the Jadakiss listening party about this song. I’m 29 so I won’t sit here and tell you I’m ridin’ around in the whip listening to I Don’t Like all arrogant with my boys makin’ my car rock and shit. No beef if that’s your thing, I just feel like I’m past that. My argument though is if your 16 like Chief Keef or even just a young boy or girl, I get it. I get why this works and I get why you fuck with it. I should be wildin’ out more and getting ratchet as hell, but my old age won’t allow me to. Damn society and it’s conforming ways! Maybe I’ll take a page out of Kanye’s book who saw the Chicago native making moves and put himself, Pusha T, Jadakiss and Big Sean on the official remix to his current hit I Don’t Like that he’s been teasing us with for over a week now. Enough taliking though. Here ya go. Radio rip for now courtesy of FSD.
Update: Added CDQ/Dirty version.
That Wu-Block tape is definitely on the way. Everyone from The LOX/D-Block camp seems to be back to doing what we love best. Sheek rides solo over Yeezy & Khaled’s, Way Too Cold. This won’t be the last we hear of this beat or Louch.
Heads Up: Amaya
2 Chainz was the latest guest on 106 & Park yesterday. While there he spoke on the new single Mercy, Nicki Minaj, collaborating with Kanye West, who was also on the show with him, but didn’t say one single word. Yeezy is really not about this interview life at all.

Woah there! They’re all just too good, especially Kanye West and Big Sean. Anyways, here’s the first single off G.O.O.D. Music’s compilation album titled Mercy. This beat was murdered some one put a toe tag on it. Sorry no download here. Support and purchase on iTunes.

DJ Khaled and his damn adlibs are unbelieveable, but Kanye West and this single is pure greatness. Not sure where this will land but maybe this is the first single off his upcoming solo album. In this song he speaks on Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries and Wiz Khalifa. Hit-Boy on the beat and this sure is a hit…boy. Ha.
Do you agree with Rick Ross being number 1? Why was Young Jeezy left out? Does Jay-Z deserve to be higher on this list? Does this list matter at all? Check out the full list below and let us know your thoughts. Next year they really need to name this Most Popular Artist Of The Following Year. All I’m saying is there are a few people on here who I wouldn’t put in the “MC” category. *Kanye Shrug*
#1 Rick Ross
#2 Drake
#3 Kanye West
#4 Nicki Minaj
#5 Lil Wayne
#6 Jay-Z
#7 Meek Mill
#8 Big Sean
#9 Wiz Khalifa
#10 Wale
Big Boy from Power 106 gives us some more footage of their interview with Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose. In this video, Big Boy ask the two who would they save if they found Kanye West and Amber’s old assistant drowning. Of course Amber avoids the question, but Wiz Khalifa responds and says they would throw 2 water bottles in for dem fools to serve at their raft.
