This is going to sound extremely cliche, but what does Hip-Hop mean to you? If your an 80′s baby you’ve seen it take on a transformation over the years, not always agreeing with the sound, but keeping your love for the culture alive. Enter New Jersey emcee CHRIS BUCK. A staple on BOE, he returns with his first full length album in over a year. Eat $#!+, a play on the the term Money, Pounds, Parties and More, almost mocks the modern day sound that we refer to as ratchet, but does it in a way that requires the same amount of skill, thought process and dedication as the music we’ve always considered Hip-Hop. So, if you’re going to Eat $#!+ (Money, Pounds, Parties and More), than take a big old bite of CHRIS BUCK’s $#!+. Features are far and few, allowing the multi-talented rapper to shine on his own, but we still get a couple of dope verses from Rickie Jacobs and El Jefe. Most of the production is handled by Rollin Mills, with Vybe Beatz, J-Star and CHRIS BUCK himself adding to the mix. Stream and download available below. Tracklist after the jump. Enjoy.
The Capture Presents Jae Himself at Homebass Studios taking a song from concept to creation. While at the studio, he asked Chris Buck to get on the track and The Capture was there to record it all.
MJK who is singing on the track is not shown in this Capture.

Ok, so here’s the deal. There was a lot of Indie music that was released this year and you probably missed the majority of it. So for your benefit, I’m going to re-release some of my favorite albums of the past year so you can appreciate them. I will release 1 album a day until I covered all the albums I liked this year.
Now I’m not gonna blame you for slacking or not knowing the good music from the bad, but here’s something you prolly missed. Chris Buck Ok, Cool album came out earlier this year and this guy is a monster. Working out of the famous Homebass Studios in NJ, Chris goes from a little singing to crazy one liners. I was blessed to be apart of Mr. Buck’s creative process but lets be real….This guy is a one man show.
Chris Buck’s new album Eat$hit is slated for 2.14.13 for all you lovers.
Some of my Favorites are: (Though its worth the full listen)
Life is A drug
The Destroyer
Can’t Bother Me
I Need a Break (Produced by Your Boy)
Nickle
The Scoop
Hailing from the great state of New Jersey (I’m a little biased) Jae Himself brings us a sound that feels like nothing less than a big breath of fresh air. I’m really excited to drop this one because I truly see a bright future ahead for not only him, but all three of the artists on this track. Joined by BombOnEm favorites MJK and CHRIS BUCK, Jae steps up to the mic like a natural and comfortably knocks Let Me Live out of the park. No word on where this lives (pun intended) but he says a project is in the works and we will be the first to know all the details.
Sometimes you just gotta BUCK the system, ignore all the rules and do what ever you want to do. In this case, CHRIS decides he don’t care what they say, burning it down all day while bringing his friends with him. This is straight off that recently released Beers For A Hustler tape, which is mandatory for any playlist, at any party. It’s just another day in the life! Roll up and press play. Appreciate the cameo at the end homie! Ha! Directed by @OnlyJohnnyG, @HashtagJefe and @MixedByJairo.
CHRIS BUCK brings us through a lonley night of drinking and reflecting with his single Drink It In, off his project Beers for a Hustler. It’s another evening of sorrows and regret, as he takes you on his mental journey towards blacking out. After everyone tell’s him they are too busy to knock down some bottles, he takes it upon himself to Drink It In, spilling liquid-courage-filled rhymes from beginning to complete and utter darkness! His latest project Ok, cool. is available now, with Eat $#!+ coming soon. Directed by @OnlyJohnnyG, @MixedByJairo & @HashtagJefe, produced by @Rollin_Mills.
Oh, CHRIS BUCK has a new mixtape out? Ok, cool. Oh word, he wants me to release it exclusively? Ok, cool. It has 19 new tracks that are guaranteed to keep a party moving for the duration and the car ride home? Ok, cool. It even has laid back tracks? Ok, cool. @Rollin_Mills, @OnlyJohnnyG, @MixedByJairo and Coolights all have beats on the tape? Ok, cool. If everyone continue’s reading they can get the full tracklist? Ok, cool. Were supposed to enjoy this? Ok, cool.
CHRIS BUCK keeps his high pace of energy on the tracks and releases as he hits us with another Rollin Mills anthem called Wake Up. The track follows the rise and fall of a man who starts out as someone who’s had enough of society and it’s ways, taking the world into his own hands while pushing the rules into his rear view. Not always a wise choice! Look for this on the OK, Cool album which is finally coming your way Memorial Day. Nobody said it would be easy.
