I came across a few dope pics. Inspired by British 3D street artist Julian Beever, 21-year-old Nagai Hideyuki from Japan creates amazing 3D pencil drawings on paper. Hide uses a projection technique called anamorphosis. The 3D illusion is created when the drawings are viewed from a particular angle. At the age of 17, Hide tried to become a cartoonist, however, he lacked the talent. Three years later, he saw Julian Beever’s street art in the newspaper and decided he wanted to do something similar in the streets of Japan. Unfortunately, he soon found out that it was illegal. Luckily, he found a pencil and some paper. Check out the pics after the jump.
