Look’s like the kid who loved college has
graduated from SRC and moved on up to the big leagues. I’m just saying Steve coulda pushed Ash a little harder. The story broke today on twitter when Rap Radar’s Elliott “YN” Wilson asked Island Def Jam executive Shawn Pecas if Asher was on Def Jam. Pecas replied with a simple “Yessir.” Then Asher confirmed it himself. With that said, Mr. Roth has been quiet as of late, but he will be releasing a new project Pabst and Jazz on December 21st with his major label debut coming at the top of 2012. Congratulations to the former XXL Freshman!
Update: It looks like Steve was looking out for Asher’s best interest after all. He has announced this is a partnership deal between Def Jam and…wait for it…LOUD Records! That’s right, one of the biggest labels in the game, that housed some of 90′s Hip-Hop’s biggest names is back. Salute to Steve Rifkind. I never should of doubted!
